Romans 4 will our faith be credited to us as righteousness?

Romans 4 (New International Version, ©2011)

18 Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”[d] 19 Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. 20 Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, 21 being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. 22 This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.” 23 The words “it was credited to him” were written not for him alone, 24 but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. 25 He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.

We must believe in the sacrifice that Jesus endured for our redemption from sin. We need to strengthen our faith in his promises.
What do we understand by faith?

Hebrews 11 (The Message)

1-2The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It's our handle on what we can't see. The act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors, set them above the crowd.
3By faith, we see the world called into existence by God's word, what we see created by what we don't see.

Even when we can't see the outcome yet we must believe that the Lord is faithful and therefore trust that he who sent Christ in our place to die for our sin also raised him from the dead to give us life! We must not belittle this amazing sacrifice by doubting and turning to sin because we can see it and feel it. We must trust in God and believe in Him so that our faith will be credited to us as righteousness.

Deuteronomy 30:19 (New International Version, ©2011)

19 This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.

I challenge you to choose life-the life that only comes from God through Jesus who died and rose from the dead so that in Him we could have eternal life!
